Meet The Teachers
Leticia and Darren Flower are very passionate about art and music, and both are accomplished, award-winning teachers and artists.
At Dandelions Music & Art, our approach to teaching music and art is rooted in creativity, exploration, and personal expression. In our music classes, we take a holistic, non-traditional approach that moves beyond rigid conservatory methods, focusing instead on learning through play, curiosity, and self-discovery. Students are encouraged to truly understand their instrument, develop their ear, and build confidence in a way that feels natural and engaging—often leading them to improvise, experiment, and even compose their own music.
In our art lessons, we place a strong emphasis on experimentation and creative freedom, guiding students to explore a wide range of materials and techniques as they discover their unique artistic voice. Each class is designed to be engaging, versatile, and supportive, allowing students to express themselves openly while developing skills through hands-on experience. Above all, we prioritize enjoyment, ensuring that every student feels inspired, confident, and connected to the creative process while fostering a flexible and imaginative mindset.

LETICIA FLOWER
"I am a dedicated educator with over 10 years of experience, specializing in fostering creativity through art and music. My artistic journey began in Spain, where I studied Fine Arts with a focus on sculpture and mixed media. After becoming a mother, my passion for education deepened, leading me to become a Montessori Assistant and specialize in Early Childhood Music education.
In my studio, I blend my love for art and the ukulele with a holistic, play-based approach to teaching. I focus on experimentation, encouraging children to explore a variety of materials and techniques as they discover their own voice and way of expressing themselves. Beyond the canvas, I am deeply committed to supporting bilingual families in Canada by offering workshops and programs in Spanish—creating a space where culture and creativity come together.
Whether I’m creating my own work, leading art camps, or hosting paint nights, my goal is to make art and music accessible, fun, and truly transformative."
